Return to: U of M Home

University of Minnesota students, who are not currently enrolled in a collegiate Honors program or are transferring from one U of M college/campus to enroll in another U of M—Twin Cities college, may apply to join UHP to begin pursuit of Latin Honors (cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude) as late as the beginning of their junior year. By then, students should have chosen and formally declared a major.
Admission (fall only) is by application only. Sophomores who apply by the April 15 priority deadline will, if accepted, be able to take advantage of Honors advising and of better Honors course availability for the fall term. Applications will be accepted until June 1.
In order to be competitive, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

All students requesting entry to UHP should remember that they are required to complete a minimum of 60 graded credits at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities to graduate with Latin Honors.
